I just connected to the CTF server, whilst another player was connected, and that seems to be working fine. So it's only the TDM server.

Yes, I have tried restarting the computer, also setting everything in UrT to default (in case there was a problem with my config), but I get the same problem each time: crash or disconnect. All other servers (including the other two GH public servers) appear to be working fine.

I'm using ioUrban Terror.

I just tried emptying my q3ut4 folder and that still didn't help.

I don't think it a problem on my set-up as I can connect to any other server without a problem. Also, this have never occurred before today.

I'm not sure if it is relevant, but I'm running ioUrbanTerror on a Mac; a G5; under OS X 10.4.11.

I hope that I'm not the only person who is encountering this issue, and that there is a simple solution. I guess I'll post on the UrT forum tonight. The search engine on their forum cannot trace older posts anymore, so I have no idea anyone else has encountered this before.

Tried a fresh install of Urban Terror (although, on a Mac, this is only unzipping the downloaded file and dragging it to the Application Folder), also, once again cleared my q3ut4 folder; opened my firewall; tried an alternative router I have; all with the same result; I connect for a couple of seconds then I'm disconnected (or Urban Terror crashes). And all other Urban Terror servers are working good for me; as usual.

Perhaps others have tried to connect, encountered the same problem, but have not notified you.

Mac is bad ?

Intel or PowerPC? I can't imagine this is the problem, as all other servers work OK. When I googled "CL_ParsePacketEntities: end of message" it is normally something that means that no connections are possible to any internet games, whereas, in this case, the problem lies with a single server (out of over 1200).

EDIT: I tried to connect again; this time the map didn't load, and I was immediately disconnected and returned to the main menu, with a new message:

"configstrings > MAX_CONFIGSTRINGS".

EDIT: GOOD NEWS!!!

I searched UrT forum and found an old post (2004) where the problem was related to two computers connected together on the same IP address (albeit two computers running UrT at the same time). As I am currently running my old G4 via Ethernet+VNC I thought, "try disconnecting it", and it worked!

That's the same one that I found.
Of course, I was not running UrT on the other computer, although it is installed.
Having disconnected the other computer & run ~|GH| TheDoctor's Arena successfully, I reconnected the computer and everything still works OK. Must have been gremlins.

While I'm here: there's a couple of players trying kick innocent players when they join the server at the moment. I was kicked several times as soon as I joined. I think the main offender is [CmV]leaderstyle. Those two idiots, [Cmv]jeffstyle and [CmV]leaderstyle, are back on the TDM server, kicking all other players, right now.
